Review of Driving Lessons (2006) by Krystal L — 28 Jan 2008
Fantastic, amusing, sad coming-of-age story. The aging Dame was just amazing, I hope to be like that when I get older. My favorite line of hers is "I'm Evie...I've come camping!" and scares away the children. Great camera shots on that bit.
I also have to say...and I don't feel quite as creepy saying this after looking up Rupert Grint's age (not as young as I had thought ... though still a tad too young for me) but damn, he was pretty hot in this movie. When he got over some of his lurking, slouching teenager bits, stood up and came into his own, he was definitely a leading man. Of course, his acting was superb, which helped that whole process of growing into his body. Way to go Rupert, hope to see him in many more great films like this!
