Review of Drive (2011) by Ken C — 27 Mar 2015
An arthouse transporter with gore. Drive is a masterpiece directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, stylishly well shot, action-pack fun that quickly turns into a beautifully sad and bloody, amazingly pace and a riveting story.
This film a very unique cinematic experience with beyond graphic violence, awesome car chase, moral relativism and its tune-up waving pop soundtrack that keeps our heart pumping. Ryan Gosling as The Driver who is a stunt driver for movie productions, a getaway driver for heists and a mechanic; a strong, silent and full of complexity performance exhibit through facial impression and body language.
Supporting actors/actresses like Albert Brooks, Bryan Cranston, Carey Mulligan, Ron Perlman, Oscar Isaac and Christina Hendricks bring authenticity to their character that really enhance this film.
