It was a Thursday and my wife and I were wondering what to do. The only film at the cinema we hadn't seen was Drive- purposefully because the trailer made it look like a Need for Speed type trashy film. We went anyway, but mostly for chocolate ice cream.
By the time the pink Baywatch font opening credits rolled I realised we were incredibly mistaken. I turned to my wife, with literal tears of joy in my eyes and said "wow".
I won't ruin the story, but I will say that Drive spoke to me like a love story. A love story for men, perhaps. Give it everything you've got.
