Review of Drive (2011) by Pablo E — 20 Jan 2014
Gosling oozes cool in this hyper-violent thriller. I wasn't sold on the violence the first time around. In fact I felt that the film was strongest when it was playing it low-key. In fact on second viewing the quiet, brooding intensity feels like it is building to something uncontrollable, as evident in the elevator scene.
This is all complimented by a tremendous soundtrack.
