Review of Drive (2011) by Alberto G — 11 Oct 2013
To tell the truth, I don't know what was the big deal with this movie. The story was fine, but the pace was so slow, sometimes I thought I had pressed the pause button by mistake. The dialogue was scarce to say the least, and the lead was so emotionless, that it ran into boring territory.
Hey, I can live with emotionless. A deep character like Javier Bardem's Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men can still make it work. Here I thought Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan had flat-lined. At least my interest did.
