Review of Dressed to Kill (1980) by Visitorq S — 26 Jan 2012
Brian depalma is a director I enjoy watching because of his unusual editing. he uses certain techniques that most directors don't. for example he does a lot of visual "explanations" - meaning no dialogue. editing has a certain grammar of its own and he uses it well.
The story reminded me a lot of "psycho" (1960). but it wasn't as "shocking" to me - maybe it's just that i'm older and wiser - when I saw "psycho" for the first time on tv when I was kid.
A solid thriller but nothing new to the genre really.
