Gory, gritty, and just plain fun, Dredd is a truly awesome comic book movie that demonstrates some of the best technical prowess in any modern film. Much like 300, Dredd beautifully juxtaposes intense, over the top action with phenomenal and entrancing slow motion.

Karl Urban plays a fantastic Dredd, and Lena Headey herself is truly intimidating as the ruthless and power hungry Mama. If you ever want to watch a movie that requires little thought and gives you more than enough bang for your buck, Dredd is a perfect film to satiate your desire to watch things blow up and people get thrown from thousands of stories up in slo-mo.
