Review of Dredd (2012) by Anthony K — 08 Sep 2014
A straightforward action flick in the tradition of "Escape from New York" and "Total Recall" that totally succeeds at what it tries to be. The story is compelling, the violence gleefully excessive and the cinematography works as a gorgeous storytelling device (via the SLO-MO sequences).
Perfect escapist filmmaking.
