A brilliant adaptation of the British comic book character of Judge Dredd.. Dark, gritty and violent. Karl Urban is spot on with his take on Dredd.

This movie did not do well at the box office for three reasons. 1. People were probably put off by the Stallone version that bombed back 1996 and was the last movie that Stallone had the leading roll. and 2. It was not well promoted. (whatever company it was do not use them because they didn't popped the ball on this one). and finally 3. I do not think know anyone wanted to see it in 3D.

Dredd 2012 did do really well in DVD sales and has now a very large cult following, with fans clamoring for a Dredd 2 or a Netflix original series.

If you have not seen this movie I suggest you try it, you might be surprised.
