Review of Dredd (2012) by Garrett ! — 05 Jan 2014
Dredd is a refreshing, cool sip of iced lemonade after the hot, sweaty hell of rushed, half-cocked 3-D remakes and sequels that have inhabited much of the last year. It's a film with style, with nerve, with vigor.
Coming from a small studio in Great Britain, made on a relatively shoe-string budget, and brought to America with a sluggish marketing campaign, Dredd comes as a gorgeously shot, excitingly brutal reintroduction of a classic comic character.
