Review of Dreams (1990) by Darlene T — 22 Apr 2007
I do not know how true is it that all 8 scenes are his exact dreams. Nevertheless, I think it is extremely bold to create a film that is so much like real dreams that it moves away from the usual movies hook.
Very slow paced and illogical most of the time. You will only like it if you understands the philosophy and life issues presented. What attracts viewers here is the individualism of Kurosawa. We get to think his thoughts and dream his dreams.
Very fasinating.
