Review of Dream a Little Dream (1989) by Jayme F — 25 Aug 2007
Dream a Little Dream is a story way ahead of its time. Buoyed by strong performances, Dream a Little Dream is not at all what you'd expect it would be. Corey Feldman gives one of his best performances in this movie, and Corey Haim is never better anywhere than he is in his small role as the oddball best friend.
Teen and horror films are nothing now like they were in the 80's. Great soundtrack, unique story-line, and wonderful performances from co-stars Jason Robards, Meredith Salenger, Harry Dean Stanton, and Piper Laurie.
Although Dream a Little Dream would never win an Oscar, it is still one of the most pleasant movies from the 80's, and it never gets old when you're forever young at heart.
