Review of Dream a Little Dream (1989) by Jonathan H — 18 Mar 2010
With the passing of Corey Haim I was reminded of how much I had always wanted to see this movie. I was sure I saw it when I was young but couldn't be certain. I didn't have very high expectations but found it to be a surprisingly enjoyable 80s teen flick.
The storyline is a typical body switch plot, but they somehow managed to take a classic tale and make it original, even bordering on bizarre at times. The sincerity of the actors struck me though, making this perhaps the best film the two Corey's ever filmed together.
I can't leave out Meredith Salenger though. She was a beautiful, ideal love interest who stole her share of moments as well.
