Review of Dream a Little Dream (1989) by Matthew S — 24 Mar 2010

This is one bizarre film. Many elements of it are quite normal, but the way it's all put together is very strange. Almost everything is decent to good: story, characters, acting, etc. I really enjoyed the opening credits.

But there's a lot that is poorly explained, like some nebulous character relationships and the whole dream thing. That's right, a movie about the mystical science of dreaming poorly explains dreaming.

There was a lot of buildup for a good explanation, but the whole thing ended up pretty anticlimactic. The late '80s sure were a strange time.
