Review of Dread (2009) by Shantel D — 31 Jul 2010
This movie had a strong emo vibe. "Dread" was too melodramatic for my taste, with only a handful of cheap courtesy scares. I'd have liked to see more character development and complexity in the villain--it was almost too black and white.
Overall, it was semi-entertaining but not overly memorable. Not bad for modern horror, but not great.
