Review of Dragonslayer (1981) by William C — 18 Apr 2014
One of the best of the 1980s' slew of "Sword and Socerer" films, this one is still fun to watch with some interesting subtexts under the story itself. It looks Medieval, has some neat campy scenes, and the dragon still holds up.
In fact, note the similarity between Brian Johnson's creation and the dragon used in "Reign of Fire," whose f/x guys insisted they had created a whole new design: rubbish; they owe ILM a debt of gratitude.
