Review of Dragon Wars: D-War (2007) by Rox22 — 15 May 2014

When this first came out, I had a far higher opinion of it (for some reason I can't remember.) But recently I watched it again as I got it at budget for my Blu-ray collection.

I will start off with the positive. The effects and creature design. They are gorgeous. Some of the best looking Dragons in a live action movie. and that's it.

Everything else is wrong. The more experienced actors clearly do not care and barely deliver a half assed performance. While the amateurs are just without anything that resembles talent. The story does have little promise at first, but quickly turns into a mess.

Overall:

While Dragon Wars may look good and the CG effects are top rate, nothing else works. It might be OK to watch only once if nothing else is on, but don't bother buying it.
