Review of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' (2015) by Mathew19648 — 04 Aug 2015
This is, without a doubt in my mind, the best Dragon Ball movie out there. Akira Toriyama returning to make more Dragon Ball is the best thing to ever happen to this series.
Frieza is back and he's still the sadistic villain you remember from the Frieza Saga. The film finally has the weaker characters do something and they all have their shining moments. Jaco is a new addition to the series and he's absolutely hilarious. Beerus and Whis make a return and, even though they don't have a huge role in the film, it's still great to see them.
But the best part of this movie is Goku and Vegeta. Never did I think that Toriyama could actually continue to create an interesting relationship between these two characters after what the Buu Saga offered. They truly shined as characters in this film.
The film looks phenomenal, Dragon Ball has never looked this good. I love how the camera swirls around people as they're fighting, further complimenting the outstanding animation of the film and the really brilliant choreography of the fights. The soundtrack is awesome as well. Norihito Sumitomo (the composer for Battle of Gods) returns for Resurrection 'F' to create a fantastic soundtrack that fits every moment of the film. The film includes this one insert song called 'F' by Maximum the Hormone and you will be banging your head to this killer track in the moments of when it's used in the film.
Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' will be loved by fans of the series and non-fans will still enjoy the film for it's fantastic blend of action and humour. Resurrection 'F' is one of my favourite animated action films. Definitely watch this in theatres.
