Review of Dragnet (1987) by Kenneth L — 22 Jul 2007
Great chemistry between Aykroyd and Hanks. While the movie itself is a passable spoof of the 1950s classic TV show, it has its funny moments. If Hanks did not go down the oscar worthy road he would've been a great comedian.
His role is basically Chris Tuckeresque. Akroyd is a comic gem doing his best Joe Webb impersonation. Overall a good buddy cop comedy with a plot borrowed from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. There seems to be alot of adventure films of the 80s that borrows the religious cult plotline.
This movie makes a good viewing for a quiet evening at home.
