A great film where Raimi returns to his roots in horror comedy. Ity is just a great film a must see for any Raimi fan, any horror fan or anybody looking for a new horror experience.

Sam Raimi does it again. In this 2009 horror film director Sam Raimi, famous for creating the Evil Dead trilogy and most recently directing the Spider-Man trilogy, brings us this campy humored horror film which is without a doubt one of the most unique films in its genre in recent times. Like the Evil Dead trilogy, Raimi combines both his love for slapstick comedy and horror genre and makes a unique blend just like his Bruce Campbell starred trilogy, which made both him and Mr. Campbell the stars they are today.

The film tells us the story of a young woman who is cursed by an old woman after she decides not to help her out in the owning of her house. Our main character has multiple confrontations with the threads of this curse and she does multiple things to try to get rid of it as well but at the end, letâ(TM)s just say things do not go to well for her.

I had never seen Alison Lohman before and I got to say that once I saw both her acting and her cuteness I must say I fell in love with both. She is still a young a beautiful actress who, even though did a terrific performance, still needs to improve some little details. As far as Justin Long goes his acting is great like always. When you look at this film at first you think that it is a very weird horror film but once you analyze it well you can tell that this film has a different vibe from other horror films. It is a horror comedy with campy humor and the spirit of a B-movie/cult film but this does not make it a bad movie, in fact this makes the film completely original and sets it aside from other horror films released all throughout the decade.

Overall this is a great and original horror comedy from the mind of one of the greatest directors in our time, Mr. Raimi keep up the good work.
