Review of Dracula's Daughter (1936) by Mat K — 16 Oct 2009
Definitely better than I had expected a low budget follow up to Bella Lugosi's Dracula. It plays with psychology and addiction. It gives us a female monster as a lead who is conflicted and reasonably sympathetic.
Unfortunately our hero is very unsympathetic, and his love interest is annoying. Although the film starts immediately after the last one ends it seems to have been place about 70 years forward in time.
Hypnosis and psychology play a big part in the script, unfortunately, neither were very well researched. Not a terrible movie, just not very good.
