I'm going to win this war in three days.

Prince Vlad Tepes and his people from Transylvania are under constant attack by the Turkish. One day a new force moves into the area, led by a demon. Vlad meets the demon and determines his only chance to survive in this invasion is to bargain a deal. His deal is to drink the blood from his invader, and have a special power for three days. If he drinks the blood of a human in those three days, he will be forever in his altered state desiring human blood. If he doesn't drink blood, everything will be okay. Dracula uses his powers to win the war but his family being at constant risk of villains and an undeniable thirst puts him in a tough position.

"You can't protect us.".

"I'll find a way.".

Gary Shore delivers Dracula Untold in his directorial debut. The storyline for this picture isn't dreadful and unfolds in a worthwhile way. This reminded me a little of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen or Van Helsing. The acting was as you'd expect for the genre. The cast includes Luke Evans, Dominic Cooper, Sarah Gadon, Paul Kaye, and Zach McGowan.

"Didn't your own father give you up without a fight?".

We thought the previews for this looked okay when it was in theatres so we grabbed it from Red Box. I will say it was okay and entertaining. The special effects were cool and the action scenes were fairly well done. Overall, this is worth a viewing but you can probably wait till it makes it to cable.

"You returned. No one has ever returned.".

Grade: C+.
