Review of Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995) by Jess L — 20 Dec 2008
The law of diminishing returns hits Brooks hard in this relatively jokeless farce. The plot stretches the scant running time to its limits with only one laugh to be had for every three jokes they try. Some scenes even delve into thankless exposition without even trying for a laugh.
One walks away from this with a sense that 'Plan 9' is a better vampire farce. Peter MacNichol is the lone bright spot in this otherwise tired and empty effort.
