Review of Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995) by Tom R — 02 Sep 2010
It can't touch Young Frankenstein, but Dracula - Dead and Loving It has a few good laughs. I admit, when you compare it to Mel Brooks' other comedies, it's not as funny. What I liked about it is Leslie Nielsen's comedic take on Dracula, referencing both Bela Lugosi and Gary Oldman.
Could it have been funnier? Absolutely. If you're looking for another classic Mel Brooks comedy, you're doomed to not like Dracula - Dead and Loving It, but believe me... there are worse comedies out there.
