Review of Dracula (1958) by Anssi V — 10 Oct 2011
And this is pretty much how you should tell a vampire story. Christopher Lee is of course amazing - although it is weird to see him so young and without his trademark voice - but rest of the actors are superb as well.
The film noticeably lacks certain horror film clichés like dark lighting or jump-scares, which is a plus in my books. The sound effects are a bit... rough, in my opinion, but otherwise pretty much everything in this movie works well.
It's not the greates movie I've ever seen, but it's a good vampire movie.
