Review of Dracula (1958) by Sarfaraz A — 04 Sep 2013
Dracula or Horror of Dracula - directed by Terence Fisher. Starring Christopher Lee in title role. Based on Bram Stoker's famous novel Dracula.
Set in 1885 A man (Jonathan) arrives at castle of Count Dracula - he is welcomed by Count Dracula (Christopher Lee) in very appalling way and much to distress of audience the way he descends down the stairs to greet Jonathan. Slowly, Dracula comes to learn that Jonathan is there to kill him - but instead he himself becomes victim in the process.
Anyone watching the film could (utterly) feel something extraordinary about the production-designs and simple characterizations, upped by the potentiality of its dialogues. Christopher Lee was the perfect choice for the role of Count Dracula. This is one of the 6 movie-versions of Bram Stoker's hit novel 'Dracula'.
