Review of Dracula (1958) by Dustin R — 29 Sep 2007
I'm left relatively disappointed by my first venture in the realm of "Hammer Horror." The film's production values are fantastic for a B-movie, and it remains surprisingly close to Stoker's text - right down to the letters.
In fact, it might be weakened by sticking so close to the text. Overall, it is a little darker than 'Dracula,' but it is far from the blood-fest, horror masterpiece that it is often billed as.
