Review of Dracula (1958) by Matti K — 10 Mar 2011
Made in 1958.Jonathan Harker takes employment with Count Dracula, ostensibly to catalog his vast library. In fact, he is on a mission to kill the Count who is a Vampire, however he fails and becomes one of the Undead,Enter Van Helsing vampire hunter who is out to stop Dracula's reign of terror on a nearby village.
After 'The Curse of Frankenstein' Hammer raised the bar once more with their take on Dracula it set the tone for Hammer's movie output over the next two decades and I can't praise this movie enough, its truly awsome,Christopher Lee is a total badass as Dracula and Peter Cushing is Excellent as Van Helsing, the climatic fight scene between the two is awsome,a Gothic Classic.
