Review of Dracula (1958) by Bill T — 03 Jul 2011
Lovable horror from the Hammer years, sealing Lee's position as the second best Dracula after Bela Lugosi. Closer to the story and intentions of Bram Stoker's novel than most other versions, Horror of Dracula is indeed a great piece.
Not quite as magnificent as the 1931 film, though, but who could honestly ask for that much? In its own right, a landmark in horror and a damn enjoyable film.
