Review of Dracula (1958) by Harriet P — 01 Nov 2013
One of the better adaptations of Dracula, with career defining performances from Cushing & Lee. The first of Hammers Dracula cycle the features both an energetic Van Helsing but also Dracula as well, and for the time a particularly vocal one even if most of his dialogue is in the first half of the film.
Perfectly evokes the Gothic sensibility that would become synonymous with Hammer during this prolific period. Highly recommended.
