Review of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) by Kim B — 13 Nov 2012
A lot of sarcasm and dark wit. A Satire based on the cold war and paranoia surrounding the "enemy" and mutual assured destruction. Some funny parts and I enjoyed the colorful characters like dr.
Strangelove. I thought the phone calls btw the leaders was esp funny. For as much hype about the movie it can be fairly boring and tame by today's standards of comedy. In its time it was original but its not that funny anymore.
Most liberals like myself and ppl who don't like authority or war or they like to see it made fun of will like this one. Its considered a classic n that's y I recommend it even if it's outdated.
Kind of like the original onion movie. Ps a young James earl jones makes an appearance.
