Review of Downhill (1927) by Mark S — 26 Sep 2011
Probably the most dated film I've ever seen; it has no sound whatsoever and there are hardly any intertitles. Plus all the men appear to be wearing makeup, even when they're playing rugby! Ivor Novello plays a public schoolboy who is expelled when wrongly accused of impregnating a waitress.
It's okay but not one of Hitchcock's best.
