Review of Downhill (1927) by Anthony K — 06 Sep 2014
Probably his best silent to date. The music, if it was the original score, was timeless in its contemporary introspective feel. The story was engaging the entire way & the visual effects, while primitive, were evocative.
Definitely a sign of things to come fore Hitchcock & a break from his earlier works.
