Downfall. You know what? This isn't one of the first examples of German cinema which made me marvel at its precision, entertainment and greatness. I rewatched this recently and I have to say that this is one of the greatest achievements in German cinema, and it should have won the Academy Award of Best Foreign Film. At least justice was done so that at the very least it got nominated for it.

Downfall is basically a film about Hitler's last days at war and of his life. This films did an amazing job in keeping me informed about how life was like for Germany and Hitler himself, but also did a tremendously amazing job at being a compelling and convincing drama, and at the same time time, being a very entertaining film. This is a movie which balanced a drama with a documentary, but taking the drama aspect alone, a lot of English speaking filmmakers could actually learn from this film. If you haven't seen this film, PLEASE see it! It'll be worth your while and it will impress those you like dramas and understanding of history. Overall: 8.7/10.
