Review of Down with Love (2003) by Jeremy S — 18 May 2010
Up until the third act, it shares most everything that made the Doris Day/Rock Hudson romcoms great (except Day's charisma, which Renee still doesn't have a chance in hell to get). When the third act gets there, it becomes a surprising genre inversion AND a sly jab at the hypocrisy of feminism (!!).
See for floored expectations and one of the best split-screens since, well, Pillow Talk.
