Review of Down with Love (2003) by Paul K — 10 Jul 2012
Another knowing comedy with New York as an extra member of the cast. I was surprised that I enjoyed it. The use of sixties-style film making techniques - creaky sets and all - added a layer of quite funny jokes.
The plot is clever, but entirely farcical, and any 'message' that it might have contained was lost in the twists and turns. Nicely over the top escapism.
