Review of Down in the Valley (2005) by Micael S — 21 Apr 2007
Where to begin on this movie. I don't know what it was about this movie that made such an impact on me, but the first time I watched it, I just sat there, then rewound it and watched it again, three times in a row without moving.
The characters are well developed by the end of the movie, but you see them grow, and while most of them are hard to like, they play important roles. The roles of antagonist and protagonist are so unclear that it draws focus to trying to figure out which character has which point.
The lines of the movie, especially the powerful last words, as well as the way the style in which is shot (I don't recomend watching this if you're naseous because the shooting style made me a little dizzy in come parts) is very good.
