Review of Down in the Valley (2005) by Michael B — 19 Sep 2007
What starts out as a cute, unlikely love story turns into the mutant offspring of "Badlands" and "Taxi Driver." The synthesis, if you could call it that, did not work. And we're left with alot of bullshit.
It was an ambitious plot and I applaud the ambition. Norton, Wood, Culkin, and Morse all give nice performances. But we too often say during this one, "why the fuck? Nope, I'm not buyin that".
.. and the second and third act reversals fail miserably.
