Review of Down in the Valley (2005) by Greg D — 30 Jul 2008
This is quite possibly Norton's least impressive film (watch American History X if you want to see Edward Norton at his best). He does the best he can with what he was given, but you can't make a good film with a bad script, and this script is horrible.
Macaulay Culkin's little brother has all the screen presence of a screen door, and plays about as big a part in this movie. David Morse is more of a cardboard cut-out than an actor or even a character; he's never even once done a good job with a part.
Don't waste your time.
