Review of Down in the Valley (2005) by Victoria K — 13 Mar 2009
Not a bad little movie but it's dreamy feel starts to wear thin after awhile and while the second half is the most exciting and eventfull, (with all the gun play) I think it loses what was most interesting in the first place - which was the uncomfortable relationships Norton's character had with Evan Rachel Wood and her dissaproving Dad.
I think David Morse is the best thing about this movie. A single father trying to do right by a very willfull daughter who he doesn't really understand or get along with.
