Review of Down by Law (1986) by Joey P — 08 Jun 2008
Pretty damn good. Sometimes Jarmusch's movies annoy me with seemingly pointless scenes, but that narrative structure makes sense here for some reason. Roberto Benigini steals the show, and I love the final scene where Jack and Zack head off in different directions.
It makes me pine for the (probably unrealistic) notion of getting lost on the lam in the wilds of America. All in al, this is good stuff. Thanks, Martin.
