Jim Jarmusch at his very best. There is an undeniable cool about the whole film, whether its the acting and musical contribution Tom Waits and John Lurie both provide, or whether its the cool, calm and completely natural artistry Jim Jarmusch oozes from everything he does, this film should be forever heralded as a unique look at american cinema.
.. Special mention to Roberto Benigni for his contribution to the comedic side of this film "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!!!" But his chracter also provides the audience with another layer, when he's accomanied by the pimp of John Lurie, and the musician of Tom Waits, it makes for a perfect dynamic.
.. If your a fan of this film I highly recommend going out and purchasing Tom Waits' album Rain Dogs, it is a perfect accompniant...
