Review of Down by Law (1986) by Ofir S — 25 May 2012
One of the best movies I ever saw. The writing is REAL and great as in all of the Jim Jarmusch films I saw so far. The acting is great (especially Tom Waits). The black-and-white is perfect for the movie.
Tom Waits' songs which was in the soundtrack was great (The opening scene with "Jockey Full of Bourbon" was great). I think that the dark humor in the movie concludes in the scene when Tom Waits' character is in a huge fight with his girlfriend and the only think that he cares about is his shoes.
