Review of Doubt (2008) by Kunal S — 13 Dec 2011
You could tell Doubt was based off a play, definitely has a stage-y vibe to it. Still, I was engrossed as the movie breezed by and all the performances were fantastic across the board. Meryl Streep plays one helluva an ice queen in this and her scenes with Philip Seymour Hoffman were quite powerful.
The ending is a bit hokey in regards to Streep's last dialogue but the story's resolution is left open-ended enough to leave you thinking past the closing credits. I liked it.
