Review of Doubt (2008) by Logan T — 22 Jan 2012
This is some of the best collaborative acting I have seen in a film in many years. With Meryl Streep being my favorite actress and Philip Seymour Hoffman being my favorite actor, I just simply adored the long scenes of heated dialogue between these two brilliant people.
However, my single criticism comes from the plot. Though the dialogue was written to perfection, I found that the premise was a bit too thin to maintain the attention for a 100 minute film. Despite this one flaw, the movie was very well-done.
From the direction of John Patrick Shanley to the performances of all four major cast members, this makes for a great adaptation.
