Review of Doubt (2008) by Isaac H — 16 Dec 2012
Legendary thespian chops makes Doubt intruging, engrossing, and disturbing. A brutal war between the hard-line advocate of tradition (Streep) and the radical force for reform (Hoffman) unfolds in a quiet private school in the Bronx.
Doubt does justice to an analysis of Catholic education in the light of Vatican's reforms, and the academy award nominations are well-earned.
