Review of Double Jeopardy (1999) by Mike L — 10 Sep 2009
Double Jeopardy is a old law term and an even older movie plot device.
Ashley Judd, in her 90's prime, plays the set-up wife well enough. She is pretty enough to be believable as a minor-millionaires wife, but not gorgeous enough to get off from a murder charge.
Oddly she gets free from prison and the person assigned to get her back is Tommy Lee Jones, if this reminds you of a female Fugitive, well I would not be the first to suggest it.
Of course Ashley finds her supposed-dead-husband and of course the Fugitive finder Jones tracks her down and of course it all works out in the end.
The 20% I give to Ashley's nudity at the beginning.
