Review of Double Jeopardy (1999) by Anand K — 04 Jun 2013
An over used idea around the time this film was shot, think Sleeping With The Enemy & The Fugitive then this is what you get. It's a simple plot & does exactly what it says on the tin, no complicated plot which loses itself as it ducks & dives to a messy conclusion.
It has a decent cast list & you get decent acting from both Ashley Judd & Tommy Lee Jones. Ashley Judd plays a woman who is convicted of murdering her husband & while serving her sentence finds finds out he is still alive.
She spends the next six years seeing out her sentence plotting revenge & getting her son back. Tommy Lee Jones reprises a similar role he played so well in The Fugitive as he chases Judd across the States.
