Review of Double Indemnity (1973) by Sean C — 16 Aug 2008
This was of interest to me because I work in insurance and I've heard that one of the things that keeps some people believing that insurance people are all scumbags is this movie. While it's nowhere near as good as Billy Wilder's other films like Sunset Boulevard or Stalag 17, it's still not bad.
The Raymond Chandler film noir snappy talk is way too campy by now, but it's interesting to see Fred MacMurray, who is known for playing the dad in My Three Sons or the Absent Minded Professor play a sleazy salesman.
