Review of Double Indemnity (1973) by Quinto W — 24 Oct 2010
What a great film with a great cast as this noir raises the stakes in suspense. Set in the 1940s, an insurance rep is seduced into a murder insurance fraud scheme that starts causing trouble and leads to one bad thing after another.
This film was made when the code of ethics for film was made and although I hate the idea of material having to be changed due to the code, I was surprised about how the code made the writers change the writing that led to one of the most iconic endings ever.
Double Indemnity is film to look for if you're looking for something great to watch.
